I was raised in a rural middle class family in Skagit County. My first horses taught me a lot of responsiblity and patience. Although I didn't always have the best of horses, looking back I believe that was a blessing since it taught me to find the positive in every one of them.
I have always been very determined to be the best at whatever I do, therefore continuing my education has always been a top priority. I am a firm believer that one should never stop learning. I have attended many different clinics and continued to ride and seek the opinions of trusted peers. I have been training horses my whole life. In the begining I could not afford much so I had to teach my horses, through trial and error, what I wanted them to know.
I have been professionally training for the last 15 years and during that time have acquired a large amount of knowledge and experience. I specialize in starting young horses, getting problem horses over their issues and Pleasure Show Horses. I enjoy teaching Western Pleasure, Horsemanship, Showmanship, Hunter Under Saddle, and Equitation.
I have taken the time to create a fun training program. I feel it is not only important to do well at shows but to also enjoy them and have a good experience. One of my main goals is to teach riders how to communicate with their horses better and have a good time in the show ring.
I also have a background in sales and am very good at marketing horses and insuring they are placed in the right home. If you are looking to buy, sell, or have you and/or your horse trained I have a program to suit your needs. I take a lot of pride in my training program and have several active and winning clientele of all ages and levels to my credit. |
